Any time you get to do a session with a sweet mama, her two baby girls and a covered bridge, it’s going to be a good day. We originally wanted that highly coveted golden hour light, but the day of our shoot, it was a grey, misty and overcast day in St.Louis. What we thought was going to be a drawback actually turned out to be a huge blessing, because we were able to create this British countryside, sort of mysterious, alluring vibe that really pulls you in and creates a balance with the otherwise feminine flair that was happening in all other aspects of the shoot. That’s the kind of dynamic range I love to achieve in photos- that push and pull, yin and yang. We had such a fun adventure capturing these photos, and I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I do.
